I spotted a nice website on the Utopia website. I have enjoyed both the restaurant and show but it was very lonely there. Any changes?

I stayed in Phuket about 6 weeks ago. I enquired about the Sphinx and was told that it was not worth going as the owners in Bangkok don't take any interest in promoting it.
I had been there before about 2 years ago and it was quite then.
if it's not the latest Asian god with rippling muscles and the ultimate bubble butt..now you bring us news of a glamorous restaurant which does look most inviting !!
but this I don't understand : "but it was very lonely there "..where you by yourself ?? I find this hard to believe.
Pattaya friends tell me you are a gentleman of the most refined tastes and a welcome addition to any dinner table..I cannot believe you would dine alone.
I'm only a light drinker. When it's daylight I drink.
Heeeloooooo Teea !!! :thumbright:  :sunny: :hello1:

Went there about eighteen months ago in a group of six (3 falangs, 3 thai).
Found the place extremely pretentious with kitsch decor. The food was not of a high quality and over-priced with some of the dishes being under-cooked. We, too, also found it nearly deserted even mid-evening on a Saturday night.
It would have had to change considerably for me to venture back again.
A very nice night out.
The show was as expected, well presented and within their small "theater restaurant" better than the Thai standard.
Each number had a different setting and backdrop.
Dance routines step by step correct. (Yes I've seen it before)
As usual NO photos of the show..... however back stage....
Full set on my site www below ! :clown:
The dinner was good, spicey and not overpriced for the area and standard provided.
Two drawbacks -
1 forgivable they had sold out of chocolate mouse !
1 unforgivable NO Bacardi in the Bar :cyclops:
A good night out.... we then went to Kiss - the new kid on the Block.
Agree with Snowcat ... and obviously disagree with jinks. The dinner downstairs was decent enough, but customers there were few & far between as well.
Then you're escorted up to the theatre room for a show too amateurish for words. The guys in the show tried hard enough, but they were just pulled off the street I'm afraid ... then a couple of days of pratice, and voila, one has a "show".
Not worth the money, on any level. We also were as lonely as Wowpow, with 2 other couples trying their best to pretend they were enjoying it. More painful than entertaining .... kind of like sitting through a stand up comedy act where the dude's just dying on stage ~ difficult & embarassing for performer(s) and audience.
Cheers .... (IMHO of course)
