New sustainable water management launched for Chao Phraya River

Bangkok, 21 April, 2017 – ICONSIAM and Chaipattana Foundation are joining hands with partner organisations in launching a new corporate social responsibility (CSR) project, called ‘Preserving and Improving Chao Phraya River with a Sustainable Water Management’ to carry on the late King Rama IX’s philosophy on wastewater management, and to raise awareness among local people living along the Chao Phraya River on the environment conservation and sustainability.

The project targets seven canals in three districts – Klong San, Taling Chan and Bangkok Noi. It begins with two canals – Wat Thong Phleng and Somdej Chao Phraya – in Klong San district
