I am sure this topic has been up before, blow me if I can find it. Anyway, do you need prescriptions for buying prescription drugs in pharmacies in Thailand? Its just that someone asked me to get them some things on my next visit, they said it might be cheaper. I know there are generic forms of this and that, are these any good, will they be cheaper? Obviously I can't get a stash for them if a prescription is required.

They wanted Lipitor (cholesterol lowering, I think) which he said was very expensive, anyone know the price of these there, and if you need a prescription?
