Another post where we are left to assume where. Pattaya, Bangkok, Phuket or Mukdahan perhaps?

There's no firm unambitious rule on bar closing or much of anything in Thailand. Sometimes with out much reason at 10pm the police in one district go out and tell all the bars to close tomorrow while the neighboring district does not. Sometimes all the bars are closed in Bangkok and not Pattaya. Sometimes they are open but not serving alcohol. My favorite is when they just shut off most of the lights and pretend to be closed.

I like the one when they keep the lights on but serve beer in coffee mugs. Those BiB must be pretty easy to fool.
