I wonder if anyone knows when this festival will take place in Pattaya this year. I'm arriving on 13 April.
And what about in Bangkok?
Also, I've heard various reports about how dirty Jomtien and Dontang (?) beaches are. Are they really polluted by sewerage?
Oh, and 1 more question. I was thinking about getting my teeth whitened in Bangkok; I saw lots of clinics along Silom Rd near Patpong. Has anyone used any of these clinics? Are they reliable?
Songkran in pattaya is on the 18th and the 19th. Not sure when it will be in bangkok. Not sure about the whitening but have had cleaning done and it was a good job and cheap enough. Yes the waters are not suitable for swimming. The beaches are clean enough but you couldn't drag (hehe) me into the water. Find a good pool or pattaya park is a good alternative.

Official songkhran is 13.-15.04.07--pattaya mostly some days more--sure you will get wet and i also--stay in los 09.-18.04.
Songkran is celebrated on different dates for different regions. The official dates for pattaya are April 18th and 19.
