It is being reported in New Zealand tonight that Mt Ruapehu, the countries largest volcano in the centre of the North Island, has sprung back into life and is currently erupting (although the eruption is small). Here is a copy of the most recent seismic drum monitoring the mountain showing tonight's seismic activity which picked up about 2 h ago.
