In another post Liam had said:
I'm sorry he had a bad experience there, but to balance that I was there a number of times last month and didn't run into this mamasan. Each time I was there the young man in charge was helpful and pleasant. The facilities (the massage room itself, anyway) was very nice, and for a change they didn't have the room so cold you could store dairy products in it.Originally Posted by Liam
The room I was in the first and second time had two beds in it, so I suppose a couple could request it if they wanted to. The shower was clean and mold/mildew free, but just outside the massage room itself. When I was left to shower (I didn't ask for assistance, although I think it was probably available) the door was locked so I didn't worry about valuables.
I wasn't there at "peak" hours so many of the guys in the album of photos shown weren't on duty but they certainly had a full selection of nice looking men, and the mamasan I dealt with knew the abilities of each one I asked about (although I was primarily interested in their massage abilities, to be honest). As you'd expect, business has been crappy lately and most of the guys were lounging around in the garden, watching TV. It's a ways out of the way but worth the effort, I'd say.
This guy was worth a second (OK, and a third) visit. He spoke less English than I do Thai, but we had a few laughs trying to share conversation, anyway. I've obscured his face since he's straight and not really interested in doing more than massage, he said - but that he did very well. I'm guessing you'd be able to pick his photo out in the album - he may be using the print of this shot I brought back to him on another visit, for all I know. He comes in to work a couple of hours early to do his daily work outs, and - a plus with me - NO tattoos.
By the way, River House and Classic are both owned by the same person/people, whichever it is. River House is the newer of the two locations. I didn't get to Classic, although Liam said in his same report that he had a good experience there.
