Unico Grande Hotel Silom

I seek comments from people who have stayed at this hotel post renovation (I know it was previously the Tower Inn). I know there has been discussion on this (and other forums) in the past and the comments have been variable. My questions what are the quality of the furnishings and the standard of the bathroom. One commentator thought little had changed, others seem to disagree. The website makes it look the ultimate in luxury but we all know how misleading web site photos can be. I must admit to being a rather fussy wretch when it comes to hotels and comments based on recent experience appreciated.

I find it too far from where the action is of soi 4 and 2 and if you go to soi Twilight. I didn't find the remodeled rooms worth the distance. The pool still sucks (no room to lounge around). Stay at the remodeled Rose Hotel (great pool-the standared rooms are small though) or some 4-5 star hotel in that area.
