I.D.Cards

I would like some info on Thai i d cards please,i will be in Sunee for a week and would like to know how to check for the boys age.Tips on assessing with the card is genuine or not.I have been informed my english is terrible,so i hope you all understand this request. Thanks

There is a short post in the Archives which contains the Thai year vs 'Western' years: ( http://www.sawatdee-gay-thailand.com/fo ... t2177.html ) I recall reading somewhere on the Board that Thai ID cards now come with Western calendar years, but not 100% sure about this.

Our Member 'Bob' once posted a very convenient scan photo of a Thai ID card (with explanations), but it has been lost in the Resource Forum post (being now nothing but a little red X in the corner). Perhaps he still has that photo and could re-post it here. Or you could PM him and request him to do so. He's a fairly cheap lay and will do anything for a special "favour".

Hey, I resemble that! In any event, here's the ID card (I understand that not everyone has this new version):

All recently issued Thai ID cards now have the brithdate in English- roman calendar as well as the Thai year plus a chip ( not sure if anythings on it yet).
