Not in a go go bar.

It is NOT legal. They must be 18 to work there. It is not the same as, for example, an Isaarn restaurant!!

Why do you want to know and why do you ask questions like this please??? There is no loophole!

Take someone under 18 and the only hole getting looped will be yours!!!

I think that the laws in Thailand are:

Under 20 year old are not allowed in bars

Work as a prostitute is permitted from age 18.

    Prostitution is illegal.

Therefor, it is illegal to buy a bar employee under 20 a drink in a bar and he may not drink there on his day off.

kquill advises that under 18 year olds are not allowed to work in go-go bars in any capacity.

Are 18 to 20 year olds allowed to work in bars other than as prostitutes?

    legal Age

Every Citizen equil Thai or Foreigner have to be 20 yo to enter a Discotheque, Bar, Karaoke etc.etc in Thailand. Staff in this premises have to be 18 yo. A Thai under 20 yo cannot apply for a Passport. He needs his parents or some relatives, but with 18 yo they can vote during election. Who can understand that?

A passport holder is intituled to leave Thailand at any time. It would be the perfect occasion to avoid military service.

Anyone below 20 years of age is able to apply for obtain a passport – as long as his military duty isn’t required (i.e. to small, to big, to heavy, just lucky…) and he can prove this.

Many countries around the globe do practise this system for same reasons ....
