Wait and see?

My trips to LOS usually fall in May and Sept/October. So last night I'm looking for reservation dates and flights to fly to BKK in mid-October, since that's the earliest I can get away from the office this year. Then I think to myself: What about this BKK airport fiasco? Is it wise to fly in before that situation is sorted out? And what about the elections? Is it wise to arrive just as votes are being counted and people start protesting the reelection of Toxin?

Is anyone else having second thoughts about visiting Thailand this Fall, or am I just being a Nervous Nelly?
