Adding the BAHT symbol to my keyboard

I would like to figure out some way to enter on to my computer keyboard the symbol for the baht ... a capital B with a slash (/) through it .... I have tried GOOGLE and cannot make heads nor tails out of some of the results.

I was wondering if there is any way to type the capital B and then back space without loosing the B and then overtyping the slash on to it ... or possibly replace one of the symbols that I never use .... like the thingie above the 6 ..... (^)

    Anybody here have an idea??

    Thanks

Two suggestions: 1). You can download the Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator (also works on windows 7) to edit it yourself.
Or 2) go into : accessories/windigs. And look for the symbol

Install Thai language keyboard. The р╕┐ symbol is (7 + uppercase) on my keyboard (Thai/Eng bilingual). You will have to switch languages every time you want to write it.

If you turn on the Number Lock key on your keyboard, hold down the Alt key and type a number on the number pad...it should create symbols for you that don't exist on your Keyboard. You may have to go through several hundred numbers until you find the р╕┐ symbol.

The ASCII code is 0223. As you said, Hold down the Alt key and type 0223 on the Num pad. Here are some more Thai fonts:

Might add, you should have added Thai language fonts via your computer Control Panel.

I've always thought the ASCII route produces an inferior result, and dicking around with fonts more trouble than it's worth. If you bookmark the following page you'll always have a shortcut to the baht р╕┐ and a number of other currencies $тВм┬г┬е. From there it's simply a matter of cut and paste.

Very useful, thanks. I use a similar site when I need to get accents right in foreign languages, although this also explains how to type them using keyboard strokes -

I never had this problem (to type р╕┐), I write Baht or THB because you don't know if the receiver can decode this special character. But I learned a lot in this thread, thanks to everyone who participated.
