    Keeping my laptop safe

I've invested in a few things to keep my new laptop safe while I am in Thailand. They are designed to alert me to movement of my things and sound off at 100 dcbl

And last but not least. A doberman briefcase defender.

I already have a cable lock.

I've tested them all and they perform better than I thought they would. I will be able to sleep easier when I bring back a stranger for the night knowing that a siren will blast out if they are touching my stuff while i'm sleeping. :glasses7:

The subject matter is similar but the information is fresh and new. Last time I posted about the new laptop I purchased for this trip, this topic is how I intend to keep it safe from theft.

Customer reviews are not great for any of these devices.

I've tested them and I like them. I guess the difference is that I am a total tech geek and understand the devices a little better than the average person. One person even wrote that the cable lock does not have an alarm on it, but it does have an alarm on it. They all also have the ability to set the sensitivity of the alarm/lock before the alarm sounds.

The only thing that may cause a problem is if it goes off in the middle of the night and my neighbors complain because it will take me a while to get to the device and punch in the correct disarm code.

For the one that is attached to the laptop, I will put it in a place that is not easily seen. if the laptop is picked up, tilted, or if the screen is moved to much at a certain pitch and speed the alarm will blare out! Not to mention that it will be connected to a cable lock and an additional cable lock with an alarm. The laptop bag will be in the closet with the bag alarm and the Ipad will be in the safe with the iphone in the holder with the briefcase alarm.

I want to stop a theft before it happens.

As I suspected, it's All About You.
