Separate electric charge at lodging- how much?

Looking for a bit of information please.

I am looking for accommodations in South Pattaya for a week at the end of Jan. and would like to try something different. Several of the places I am considering charge for electricity outside of the room rate. I have no experience with this and would like to know what to expect.

Understanding that it will not be exact, is there an estimate that you use for these charges? I have no idea if it is 100 baht a week or 1000 baht a day. If it makes much of a difference, 2 occupants and we have the air conditioning on whenever we are in the room.

    Many thanks for any opinions....

I can comment based upon my own monthly electric usage at my condo in the Jomtien area. Running the air con most every night and the ceiling fans during the day, coupled with heating water for showers (at least 2 a day per person and there are 2 of us), keeping two computers running daily, not to mention the fridge, TV, and the daily use of the washing machine equates to about THB 1,400 per month, give or take. Keep in mind that this is a direct invoice from the Provincial Electric Authority (PEA). Some rental places do mark up the cost of electricity, but it should not be anywhere near what you would expect in the West. Hope this helps . . .

When I stayed for a month at Mosaik last year, my electic bill was 2,600B and my water bill was 264B - for the month. So together that worked out at less than 100B per day.
My aircon was on 24/7 and boy special took 3 long hot showers each day (once a week is good enough for us Brits;-) so its unlikely the bill could have been higher.

It's a question I was worried about myself before hand, but it doesn't amount to over much.
