    trip from Pattaya to Jomtien

Hi-- Just retuned from Pattaya and I do have a few observations that may or may not be of interest to you. First of all, the roadway from Pattaya to Jomtien has finally been completed... It has been years ( perhaps 2 or 3) since you could ride a motorbike to the beach without having to do part of the trip on either dirt or mud. So the road, even with spots that have some real good bumps is much more enjoyable as a passenger on the tail end of the motorbike. Now that you can avoid sand and dirt that used to make the trip more of a challenge, the trip is now just a nice bumpy ride..

Thanks Bing for your information - that makes the motorbike ride really enjoyable !
The only thing now is to know where do we can take respt. find the nice and slim motorbike-drivers whom we can put the hands under their t-shirts in order "not to fall down" and feel their smooth skin .... lol :love4:

That's good news, Bing... glad to hear it, thanks.

Less dust in the eyes and lungs and less time on the baht bus waiting in traffic. Woohoo!

The more-or-less completed run from the Third Road overpass in Pattaya to Food Mart / Pan Pan Restaurant is indeed a treat. Cleaner and much faster. Still with hazards, though. No streetlights, no signage.

Now there will be disruptions at the intersection with Threppasit Road, and all the way to the Monkey God curve. It's not a long stretch of road but it won't be fun. When it's done, the right-of-way will belong to traffic on Jomtien Second Road, not to those coming from or going to Dong Tarn as it is today. Will there be Stop signs? Will there be carnage?
