Say you work 26 days/month = 26 * 313 = 8138 baht.

As far as I'm aware at least, 7/11 pays minimum wage. I remember Kim's little sister worked there for a while, and was only making about 8000/month.

There is no such thing as a good dose of socialism.
Corrupt socialism will probably be even worse than corrupt capitalism. Then to see how socialism compares with capitalism, e.g. East Germany with West Germany or North Korea v South Korea.

What Thailand needs to do is reduce corruption, raise minimum wages, encourage some productivity improvements and improve the education system.

Although I have difficulty believing the figures, your thread heading quotes an average. It seems clear the figures are for those in professional jobs, plus the low average is 24,500 baht per month. Having worked as a consultant for a couple of Bangkok-based firms, the low rate for professionals seems about right. The average is maybe about right for major companies, but definitely too high for small companies.
