sauna update

My third visit to Sukhumvit soi 78 and Safe House on a Friday - I was the only customer all night. 2 visits to Mind sauna soi 48 Sukhumvit last visit just my partner and an Australian. we left at 10pm. The cleaner boy seemed disappointed when we arrived at 8pm. An early night in the offing.
Chinatown cinema - last Sunday, first visit for months,not much happening unless you like very old guys (I am 53!).
GG sauna - renovations in process!!! wow after 20 yrs. Had 3 3somes. Obviously this is not Sauna Manie territory but guys are pleasant and willing.
Sukhotai sauna- went on a wednesday 2 weeks ago and there were only 5 or 6 guys. Went the next saturday - 50 or more! I could not believe it. The desk guy also spoke english well. Apparently they own Cruising Sauna in CM. The 50 guys were all friendly, again we are not talking great lookers but who am i to say. Free drink like most places.
Saw the party and long show last saturday at Male Box in Rama 2 soi 57.The show goes so long that there isnt much time for sex but friendly crowd.
Menfactory still has the worst show i have ever seen. Think I will give that place away. A visit to Heaven was good as usual.

Thanks for the information, haven't heard of some of these places (but am interested in going to saunas out of the tourist areas).

There are 3 sex cinemas that I know of-China Town, State 78, Saphan Kwai.
State (has a history of straight sleaze you cab read about if you search state soi 78).

A very large old cinema (most of these have been destroyed for condos) showing gay porn. You walk down soi 78 (a bus ride beyond the Bearing station, before Imperial Big C on your right), via left at the shrine and second on the right (first on the right will lead you to Safe House sauna). HOWEVER!!! there were less than 6 guys on both times I went to the cinema. On the second time I was assaulted by 3 guys pretending to want group sex. They took my bag and mobile. At first I though it was heaven (stupid old me) but then realised that they were holding me. I screamed and they ran away, dropping my bag which had my passport and 7,000 baht but took the mobile. It could have been much worse, being so dark. I have not been back. It seemed organised.
China Town full of old men being services by slightly younger old men. It is not far from China Town Hotel but I struggle to give directions. The ticket box is set back a bit and easy to pass. This may help.

Saphan Kwai - few steps from the BTS and next to 39 sauna. Plenty of young guys in the dark wanting money and the ask for 200 banht but quickly go down to 20! However, it is possible to meet non money boys. Huge cinema, takes a while to get eyes adjusted.

You are not missing much, in my opinion. I went to two cinemas so far, and I find neither the environment nor the clientele attractive. I go merely to get a complete as possible overview over the gay scene in Thailand and for blogging material.

Dblu- I get it now. Was a bit slow but should have realised when there was no sauna and no steam room. Their idea is to have it as a massage venue. You choose the guy on the web then meet him at Dblu. I went again on Wed night and again I was the only one there for a sauna experience. I am not into paying massage boys so I felt uncomfortable with the massage boys sitting there. I won't go again until later in the year to see if it has changed. There were maybe 5 guys come in to take a massage boy and I think they were all Japanese, Korean or Chinese so that is where the advertising is aimed.
Dejavu last night- over 100 guys watching a "show" (this is not your average drag show, but full on fucking show) then the actors (staff) disperse upstairs where the customers can take place and have sex in front of the crowd. Very athletic. Thursday nights. I think the other nights are just naked. A fair way out but if you like upclose fucking then could be for you.

CM- Cruising Plus (part of the Cruising Sauna chain) out near G star vintage club on Chotana Rd not far from Super hwy. Again, first visit only me and an American. This time a gorgeous young man wanted a long long bj which I gave to him. Not many others. Maybe they get late crowd from the bars. The other bad point is that I could not get a taxi or tuk tuk back to the hotel at 11pm. I had to walk 5 kms until a nice boy picked me up and gave me a ride on his bike for the last km. How do people get around in CM late at night. One Seven naked night. Crowded but not action filled like Dejavu in BKK.

In such a situation, I would try to hitchhike. Worked on two out of tow occasion, during daylight.

Last night had some success at Mind Sauna. Still only a few there. Rush Sauna is advertised to open in next soi. Renovations still going on at GG. A little bit of light would help when I stumble down steps. Dejavu great last week.
