    BFs Second Visa to Ireland

    Hi All
After 7 wonderful weeks (in my opinion) in Ireland my BF has once again returned to Thailand.

This was his second trip here and was far more successful than the last - I put this down to:
-On his last trip I shared a 2 bedroom apartment with another Gay Guy. This guy was not particularly welcoming to my BF. Now i have a new apt and live alone - so we were able to relax and feel at home all the time

-Him growing up - and realising that if he wants to live outside thailand he will have to adapt - no Mocys, or Tuk Tuks here... if you wanna go somewhere you walk or wait ages for public transport!

-Me being less anal - about him tidying up after himself, and about him sleeping all day and surfing the net all night - better for him to be surfing here than cruising in jomtien at night!

-Him making some friends this time - from Poland, Panama, china, Ireland (and a bunch of butch lesbians)even though it was time to go before he really got to know them.

We even met 5 Thai guys this time around - who would have thought there was that many Thai guys in Dublin - even though 2 of them claim to be "not gay any more"!

The visa was originally only for 3 weeks, which we extended to 5 before he came and then to 7 when he was here.

I'll post more thoughts once i have time to get over my PVD (Post Vist depression).

Roll on December for my next trip to LOS!

Hope the guy who walked into the toilets in dublin airport after me didn't slip on all the tears that i left behind on the floor!

    Buffalo me die! Send Money!

    Yeah. "Tears." Right.

Just kidding. I envy you, but enjoy reading about your good luck. Best Wishes.

Good to see it worked out for you both. My Lao boyfriend is arriving in three days, for a three month visit. Surely I don't want him to sleep all day, which he probably won't, as he is very keen on learning the local language (Dutch), my father already offfered to help him with learning the language, during the time I need to go to work.

Anyway after more then two years, and a total of 4 months together in Thailand, we now can have three consequetive months in each other's company. Only three days and counting....

    congratulations colmx !!

I believe you have been very fortunate getting 2 visas for your Thai boyfriend but I suppose it says much for Irish tolerance although every Irish person I have met..and I say this in the nicest possible way..has been possibly quite mad. Indeed I had one Irish grandmother..crazy as an old boot

People tell me that Ireland is now really quite an amazing place and that so many Irish lads are...extremly well built where it counts.

That's been my experience too! I even flatted with an Irish psychiatrist once who was a sociopath. Go figure! And I sent a Dutch-Indonesian bipolar nut job to live there (Dublin) as well, and he feels right at home!
