I never had much interst sexually speaking in Asians, be they the Chines/Thai look or Indian or Indonesian, not sure why but the attraction just wasnt there, was more into Europeans and the Mexican look, I realise a lot of stereotypes here but hope you all get my sentiment.
Consequently travel to Asia was never on my agenda....until a childhood friend decided to hold his 2nd batchelor party in BKK...wow...was that an eye opener..sampled my first asian and since then have developed a deep liking for them...expanded my menu.
What first brought you to LOS...work? adventure?

Moved to Budapest with my then husband, and that was the beginning of the end. Plus he turned my home into a porn studio, which I wasn't thrilled with, so I moved to Malta. Had a great time, but bored after 6 months of the small island, so back to Budapest.

Didn't like it again, so off to Prague I went. Didn't really want to go back to Canada, and parents were living in Malaysia at the time due to my father's work, so I decided I'm checking out Asia too and went for a holiday.

Decided I quite liked Asia, and turned their place into my home base while I hopped around to all the various countries SE Asia offers. Landed on Thailand like all of us, and ended up in Chiang Mai for 6 months. Went back to Canada where I only lasted a year before finding myself in Thailand again, and this time met a cute hooker named Kim and spent 8 years there.

Good times, can't wait to get back to Asia.

No, I guess legally speaking we're still married. That's fine with me, as I don't plan on getting married again.

We still talk sporadically every few months though. Those are always nice two hour long conversations.

Serious, long-term relationships? Only three, and I'm nearing 40 these days, so that's not bad.

Would be embarking on a forth right now, but some microbes decided to turn the world upside down. Guessing it will be more of an uncle nephew type relationship though, so no sex, which is fine with me. He's a great guy and I know I can trust him, so I'm happy with that. Besides, that's what hookers are for.

Giks? I have no idea, and I'm sure nobody on SGT knows how many they've had either. I can say that I've never once cheated though, which I'm quite proud of.

What first brought you to LOS...work? adventure?

For me it was the adventure, and more specifically the adventure of my first holiday as a gay man looking for a new life experience in Thailand.

Why Thailand? Well, this board had a lot to do with it - credit where credit is due!

I first visited Thailand in the summer of 2017. Having read the trip reports posted here by many contributors, I wanted to experience it for myself.
The board was an invaluable resource for the first-time traveler - bars, clubs, hotels, massage shops, it covered everything you could wish to know.
The atmosphere on the board back then was friendly and helpful.
Seasoned travelers were happy to help out starry-eyed newbies with mundane, but essential information such as - How do you get from Boyztown to Sunnee Plaza?

I can still recall my first evening in Boyztown, sitting, wide-eyed, with a stunning Thai boy in Cupidol, wearing nothing but the skimpiest of white briefs (the boy I mean)...
Who could have believed that such a place actually existed?

Sadly, like so many things these days, the board has since gone into decline.
The trip reports have all but disappeared, inevitably.
It seems that it is now populated by a bunch of monkeys throwing shit at each other in a gilded cage,
pausing only to redirect their venom at whatever unfortunate newbie has the temerity to interrupt their sport.

I hope that the trip reports, at least, will return before too long.
I am feeling optimistic. I am due to get my first covid vaccine shot this week, its a Pfizer.
I hope that the vaccination rollout will enable international travel to restart.
With a fair wind I could be back in Thailand before the end of the year, covid restrictions notwithstanding.

Hi Kenny.

I also found this board a goldmine of information when I started visiting Thailand. At first I was a complete novice when it came to gogo bars - I had to feel my way, so to speak.

With help from from members here I soon learnt the ropes and took their advice on which bars to visit and which ones to avoid. The warnings about pesky mama-sans was also useful.

I was also an avid reader of trip reports and ended up writing a few myself. I didn't bother in later years as I tended to spent my holidays with the same 2 guys and there was little new to report.

My first trip was to Chiang Mai back in the 90's. I chose Thailand simply because I had heard so much about the availability of sex and wanted to try something new. I met a guy in the night market, went back to his house and the rest is history. I never looked back.

But I'm looking forward to the trip reports once members start returning to Thailand.

I am looking forward to being back in Niceboys, playing with Arsenal's balls.
