Best information site

I have been away almost two years. I was ill for some time, a little surgery and a good doctor and I'm so much better that my thoughts turn to Pattaya - or, at least Thailand. I know I go search and search this forum but it does get confusing. So I ask: is there a reliable site that gives good up to date information? Years ago i took the owner of "dreaded Ned" to dinner - he was almost posting, checking and providing invaluable information. As I came back to this board someone posted photos of a digging machine in front of Toy Boys - I know this kind of summary, evaluative information is avaialbe here but is there a current site that stives to curate this information.

Hi paborn, welcome back. Nickysgaypattaya was great for that but has sadly closed down. If you have a very specific question then gaybutton is probably the best place to post it. Gaythailand will also give you quite recent information. Here you'll receive all sorts of answers from all sorts of members some of whom appear to not get on very well. However through the maelstrom of replies there will be a plethora of useful stuff. And its rare that the most up to date info is not available here.

There is no curated site such as dreadedned used to be (separate from his forum). There are only sites with moderators of which Thaivisa is one which contain posts of uneven quality.

As far as obtaining “invaluable information” is concerned, I’m not really sure what that means. Are we talking about which bars are open and which have closed etc? If so, you need look no farther than the recent topic created by newalaan2:

Me, I just come out to Thailand and wander around the bars and find out everything first hand. You’ll know everything there is to know in 2 nights. Easy-peasy really and I commend it to the readership.
