Have you tried Froggy's French restaurant? Well, you should!

All you French food lovers (on a budget) should definitely give Froggy's a try.
The location is not very convenient for many of us, but trust me it's worth the effort to go there.
Without a doubt, the best French food in town at their price point. It is bistro style, not haute cuisine.
The price is 250 baht including choice of appetizer or soup, choice of main course, choice of desert. Its a steal for the quality of food.
There is a standard list of choices, plus always an offer of a special choice, on my visit it was wild boar stew.
Order off the set menu? No problem. There are frogs legs cooked in many styles, Beef Wellington, and Bouillabaisse! Wow.

I was truly impressed with the food there!

To answer your question about the price point competition. Yes, I think the food is noticeably better than Cuisine Au Buerre, Petite Planete, and Oliviers. No I am not saying it is better than places charging two and three times more.

If you go and you are not pleased, feel free to diss me. But try it first. Restaurants like this deserve our enthusiastic support!

FroggyтАЩs has only been open six months, so many people will not be aware of the location. From Pattaya Klang, turn into Soi Paniad Chang (AKA Soi Yume) as if to go to the old Carrefour (now Big C Extra) and continue on for 1.4 km and FroggyтАЩs neon sign is on the left at the corner of Soi 2 Paniad Chang. The restaurant has a vacant lot beside it where you can park your vehicle. The name of the soi is interesting, as Yume was originally a тАШmember clubтАЩ at the mouth of the soi. After they ran out of members, the street was named after the elephant kraal (Paniad Chang). So now you know.
I should add when coming from Pattaya North Road (easier) turn south from DIANA RESORT and the place is not far down on the right side. Going from Pattaya Klang, a lot further.

I love french food but I think this is too far from me when I vist Pattaya next time.

I mean you can not walk there from Sunnee right?

There is a fantastic french restaurant close to Tuckom and the chef is real French guy, I dont remember the name now but its the best food I ever had in Pattaya.
The good thing you can walk , to boystown easy or Sunee .

I reckon you must be talking about this place: http://www.bordeaux-restaurant-pattaya.com/

No you can't walk to FROGGYS ...
Accessible by baht bus though especially when combined with some other thing you might want to do in North Pattaya, like shopping.
From South Pattaya, take a baht bus to Sukhumwit.
Then a white Sukhumwit baht bus, also 10 baht, to North Pattaya Road.
From there you can easily walk to the Diane Estates Soi and then walk a bit south.

    OR

Take a 2nd road baht bus to North Pattaya Road (Dolphin roundabout).
Then take a North road baht bus to Diana Estates Soi, etc.

Like I said for us southerners best combined with something else special you'd like to do up north.

You can walk to Froggy's from Sunee - takes about an hour. I regularly do it, so I know it's possible. Of course if you don't fancy an hour's walk then there are all the options mentioned in your post.

We reviewed the place some time ago and have been there to eat many times. It is good ...

Yes, you're right. You can walk to Froggys. You can walk to Phuket too.
