Well, after much deliberation with a friend, we booked furamaxclusive hotel....
Is that hotel any good? Saw tripadvisor just now and the cons is that guests are charged with what they didnt took from the mini bar...
some say location is bad etc... :*(

how far is the hotel to tawan?
also... are there any discos or nightlife ard furama...

The Tawana Hotel on Suriwongse road is located just opposite of entrance of Soi Tantatwan = Silom Soi 6 which is leading to Silim road.Originally Posted by camperboy
Walk inside Soi Tantawan and you will spot Tawan bar just at the right hand side. If you are slow, walking from Tawana Hotel entrance to Tawan bar takes maybe one minute.
The Tawana hotel is getting slightly old fashioned but the standard is still pretty good. No problems with joiners, no joinerтАЩs fee. The Tawana hotel is also popular with gay clientele.
Plenty of night spots are within easy walking distance. Just ask the bell boys or receptionists if you need any further information.
If you are talking about FuramaXclusive Sathorn (next to Belgian Embassy), It is excellent when I stayed there. Rooms are average size, but clean and well furnished. Nice litte pool as well which was full of young japanese boys at the time. Breakfast good.
Location is fine, a short walk away to Silom, and 2-300 m from Chong Nonsi BTS.
No problem with overnight guests.
Have fun camperboy! It's so cheap getting to Bangkok from Singapore, you should go there every second month!
