Pattaya - A 41-year-old Korean businessman fell to death from his room on the fourth floor of a hotel in this seaside town early Monday morning.

His Thai girlfriend, Amornrat Watabe, 25, claimed that the man jumped down from the room where she and Kim Chang Hyon, stayed.

But police found the trace of fighting and blood in the room.

Amornrat told police that she and the Korean man had been dating for over two months.

The man had business in Thailand had been staying in Bangkok's Bungkum district for over 20 years.

She said she and her boyfriend went to Pattaya to cut a land purchase deal.

Then, the man went to a bar with three Korean friends. After he returned to the hotel room, he asked Amornrat to pick up his friends at the bar but she refused, she said.

Kim then became angry and hit her head with bottle and assaulted her so she packed up and was about to return home.

She said Kim apologised her and the two went back to rest in the room but she woke up an hour later, seeing her boyfriend wetting her bags.

He then rushed out of room to the balcony and jumped down, she said.
