This isn't about the regular catch-up that Lunchtime O'Booze and I have periodically with the PM; that's off-the-record. The FT on the weekend published the latest in their regular series of "Lunch with ..." and this week it's Thailand's Abhisit. It's a fairly uncontroversial conversation except for his defence of the lese majeste law as akin to the Official Secrets Act. I'd have to say I agree - that Act is there purely for censorship. I'd also agree that it will be a longer haul for Thailand to get out of this mess because of the political uncertainty; as I've already reported our family recently relocated most of their business operations from Bangkok to KL for that very reason. Abhisit did go to Slough Comprehensive instead of my old school, and to Oxford rather than Cambridge, but I suppose we shouldn't hold that against him
