Canadian Visitor Visa refusal now to Conjugal Visa
Laos is a communist country his age( 30) and his job were reasons stated for his possible staying in Canada No allowance made for land and truck ownership, sizable bank account and ongoing house construction. No credit given for excellent invitation letters and the fact that he returned to Laos from Europe 2 years ago. No point applying again so I was pleasantly surprised to find out about the requirements for a conjugal visa. Not too onerous and the best part is that BF will only have to stay in freezing boring Canada for 2 years 1 day out of 5 years.
Anyone on Board obtained a Permanent Resident Visa (conjugal) for their BF?

Yes, and it was successful back in 2004. As long as you have adequate proof of the relationship there should be no problem. An interview will probably be required.
