When you enter it , it will bring the serial number of your phone to your screen.
(It works on my cell phone.) Write the serial number down.
Then if your phone is stolen, or you lose it, call your service provider -
AIS, True, etc. - report the loss, and give them the serial number,
and they will block all use of your phone.

Since your mobile phone number is not on your sim card,
you can have your usual number put on your replacement phone.
