some expats seemed to be getting fatter each trip

I come here about every 8 - 9 months and you get to recognize by sight, a lot of the expats.
One guy has noticeably got heavier to the stage he cannot sit in a deck chair on the beach.
Has to get a plastic chair placed under the umbrellas to get his inchair massage[hehehe]
Others seem to be going down the same track.
What is it, getting to lazy to walk. Over indulgence. Is this a Pattaya syndrome?
Is there no alternative to excercise. Some magic pills. Low carb diets?

    fatter older..

andrewcraig has a point and for those of us who are expats and year round residences, changes are not
as apparent as to those who only come once or twice a year.
The very obese stand out but there are many who are actually reducing their bulk and some quite dramatically.

It is always shocking when a super-sized farang appears. Usually, someone asks how is was possible that he
could fit into an airplane seat and the absolute horror of sitting next to a mammoth sized man or even worse,
between him and his equally sized friend in a middle seat in coach/economy.

We are all getting older and most of us fatter every year. I think the average weight gain is about a kilo a year, past a certain
age, but haven't checked my facts. The answer is more walking, less eating and drinking , but we all know that and still the weight
    sneaks on somehow.. :cat:

    cyclically

highest point of the year my personal weight, coming from the land of snow, lands upon the time I arrive in TH. I have discovered the joys of actually walking from boystown all the way to Jomtien, around Jomtien, and sometimes back to Boystown.
The sheer boredom of the winter here in the USA, contrasting to the warmth and fun of TH, leads me to many times on vacation to eat every OTHER day while on vacation.

LOL I adopted Goulburn after reading an earlier bad boy billy post that he had been a warder at a prison at Goulburn.

I am not even sure where it is and am not interested

We have a place called the Black Stump but that might not be allowed on this forum.

So I will change to Manangatang, a wheat growing community in Northern Victoria. Nice place got drunk there a few times when younger. Population 250 and a short drive to Berriwillock or Chinkapook

I think if I lived in place called Managangtang

    Berriwillock or Chinkapook

I'd be drunk all the time.

then again..call the place Pattaya and I do the same. :drunken:
