I doubt the entire island of Phuket will be booked solid. There are always rooms available somewhere.

Try Club One Seven http://www.cluboneseven.net I think you can still get a room!

Take your pick at Asiarooms . Don't worry, 3 weeks is not short notice and you'll find many options.

My recommendation would be Thara Patong Beach Resort (www.tharapatong.com ) It's right in the middle of things - across the road from the beach and round the corner from the Paradise Complex. Its huge (172 rooms) so there's sure to be a vacancy. Whilst it's a 'family' orientated place it's also 'gay friendly' and no problems with joiners  Its even listed on Dreadedned's

    Quiet Kamala

I'm not sure if you are willing to be a bit far out of town, but I found a lovely hotel in Kamala Beach (quiet, peaceful beach without too many tourists):

    http://www.layalinahotel.com/

Excellent service, nice rooms and good value for money.

It's about a 10 minute drive to Patong, or if you plan on drinking it's 300 baht each way for a taxi. If you are staying for more than 5 nights, and will be going to Paradise Complex often, inquire about the 'monthly rate' for parking -- (it used to be) quite cheap, and you can come and go as often as you like -- whereas with the daily rate you are charged each time.

The Thara is a good standard family hotel. Price and value are well balanced. Just across the road there is the beach with gay strip with beach chears etc. (turn left) and all evening and night long gay cruising... (just in case, but be very careful!)...

Also good is the nearby very gay friendly small Siam Palm Hotel (no pool).

There is always a variety of reasonably good accommodation at Paradise complex. Just turn up, leave your luggage somewhere and have a look around. There are also some travel agents (one is next to Connect Guesthouse) who can book your into any place nearby at a good rate.

    Siam Palm?

Anyone have any comments about the Siam Palm?

Is it a long walk from Paradise Complex?

    Phuket Hotels

Thanks everybody for the infor and advice. I did try Club One Seven, but they are fully booked. I tried Siam Palm, but they seem a bit far and not by the Paradise Complex. Blue Dolphin was fully booked. Rendez Vous only had standard
    rooms left.

I also tried this hotel www.lawanresidence.com they seem nice and are cheap, and only a few minutes away from Paradise Complex, according to the map on their site. But I did e-mail a few hotels and some have replied back with availability. So now I have a few choices to pick from?

If you must be nearer to the "action" try the Rendezous. Club One Seven is not within walking distance to the bars. The Siam Palm is a short walk to the bars or the beach. If you are not going during the rainy season I would vote for the Siam Palm.
