Bangkok Gay Pride

I will be in BKK on 4 Nov (late) but in time for the parade etc on 5 Nov, and will be staying in Silom area. Anyone got any suggestions for best vantage points, pubs etc. I know that some of the restaurants are having special functions etc, but I presume that they will be booked well in advance. As I will be travelling alone (not for long) I just wondered which pub/bar would be the best, or just generally cruise around soi 4 and see whats happening.l

Since you posted your intentions it now falls on you for a first hand objective report, with photos perfered. I am going up to Chiang Mai on 5 November and will miss the parade.

Expations are low around town due to last years miserable BKK Pride. I hope it makes a turn around and look forward to your report.
