Marinated lamb chops, new specials and Xmas dinner

After closing for a holiday in October, Yupin's are back in full swing preparing for high season with great food and wines. Always happy to give a plug to my favourite restaurant.
Xmas dinner is almost booked out and there are vacancies on Xmas Eve. First come best served.
For the skeptics here, my contributions here are not known and I do not get kickbacks or discounts.

    Yupin Marsh <yupin@yupins.com>

    Hi,

I am delighted to say we had a good October with lots of guests coming back to see us, very often on their last day in Thailand, and coming for a last meal with us, or on their first day back again, rushing straight to YUPIN'S for a meal direct from the airport!
There's devotion and it is very appreciated by all our staff. Nearly everyone is remembered and welcomed back.
Mr Yupin is getting on a bit now he is a pensioner, ha ha ha, and says he cannot remember much, (especially my birthdays) But I think he is testing too many new wines. 555
But the old boy can still get to the door to welcome guests, sometimes before they have gone. 55555
The New Special on offer now is our New Zealand short loin Lamb Chops, a big portion of 300 grams, served in much the same way as the Australian Black Angus striploin steaks, with 3 dipping sauces, in this case they are Mint, of course, and Curry, and Black Pepper sauce.
the large chops are marinated for hours and are beautifully soft to eat.
Mr Yupin says he has a new wine to go with these lamb chops, it is an Australian Barossa Shiraz called Romello at 1,195 per bot. He says it is scrummy, delish. what ever that is.

It is accompanied by fresh v vegetables and a choice of potatoes, Fries, Saute or Mashed potato.
All this for only 525 baht. Very good and delicious too.

Christmas is there, lurking over the horizon of course, and we are still taking bookings, I have two tables for two and one table for six left on Christmas Day inside with zircon (6pm to 10pm) and still tables left outside.
i also have tables on Christmas Eve inside and out.

and here is a link to a rather special restaurant with a show before you eat!

and to follow, a couple of happy eating pictures!!

    See you soon!!

I would love to make that work for us too!!

I'm rather fond of Reisling myself. Devotees of the BBC comedy Posh Nosh from 2003 will recall the Hon. Simon Marchmont making a comment about Reisling in the very first episode. You can find it online; all episodes are now on Youtube.

    . . . . so you don't get lonely.
A marinated lamb chop only goes so far as a friend, wouldn't you agree?
Just another reason why I love living in Thailand

Let's face it, Wombat posts are generally friendless; he should be grateful someone paid attention.

Riesling not Reisling. Obviously Mr. Yupin knows much more about wine and food pairing than you.
Riesling with Lamb, yuk, yuk. :ymsick:

We all know where kommentariat comes from. Why be surprised at what he says. I often wonder if he is the old badboybilly that surfcrest has suggested.

I'm quite sure I've never suggested that Kommentariat is someone by the name of badboybilly. I have stated (not suggested) that he was once some other members including BrisbaneBuy, Sooty, Beachbunny and Boygenyus...but not badboybilly.

A Riesling goes really well with Thai food...believe it or not.
