Beach Vendors

My suspicion is that the vendors have, over the years purloined for themselves considerably more beach than they are contracted for. Therefore I think the powers that be are getting them back to their agreed space and can then rent out the rest to new vendors, virtually doubling the income overnight.

From what I understand, the cleared spaces will be free of commercial exploitation and left for tourists who want to walk along the beach or spend some time in the sun : this is what happened in Bang Saen Beach (same Chonburi province).

We could have to face some price increases, as the beach operators will have fewer customers to serve and so less takings.

the beach vendors were circulating a petition, asking their customers to sign, requesting the authorities to leave their concessions alone. Guess this exlplains it clearly.
