    Shaved Ball

I noticed on a Thai sports program that Khun Paradorn shaved his head. Ewwww. He does not have a handsome face, and the bald look totally emphasizes that! He didn't look so unattractive when he had his spiky hair. I'm sure he still has that body that dreams are made of, but he sure ain't so pretty to look at with his clothes on now. A Google image search turned up over 250,000 hits, but I couldn't find one with his new "shaved Ball" look, so I'll just adorn this post with a nice body shot.

Maybe what he needs is a ...... B10 hat!

He shaved his head to become ordained, not for fashion.

Tennis' Paradorn Tries Hand As a Monk
    By JOHN PYE
    The Associated Press
    Tuesday, January 10, 2006; 4:40 PM

SYDNEY, Australia -- Far removed from the world of overhead slams, whistling crowds and jet travel, Paradorn Srichaphan turned to a simpler life: 4 a.m. wake-ups and long hours of fasting and meditation. Asia's top tennis player spent time as a Buddhist monk last month. He adopted the Buddhist name Mahaviro, meaning "great and brave," for his seven days in a temple outside Bangkok. His head was shaved in a traditional ceremony before donning the monk's saffron-colored robes.

"It was pretty interesting for me that week, my time away from tennis," said Paradorn, his hair still short. "It was a really calm week. Everything I have _ the phone, the family _ I just cut it, left it behind, walked into the temple and became a monk."

Paradorn hurt on eve of Australia Open

Sydney (Bangkok Post, dpa) - Paradorn Srichaphan had to drop out of the $1.02 million Sydney International tennis tournament today at the quarter final stage.

Paradorn, Asia's No. 1 player, said he strained his thigh in India last week during the Chennai Open. He was forced to stop his match with Nikolay Davydenko of Russia, who advanced to play American James Blake on the walkover.

"Less than a week before Melbourne, so I will try to do my best here and just try to recover for next week," said Paradorn.

In a huge upset at the tournament, Italian qualifier Andreas Seppi slugged a rusty Lleyton Hewitt with his first defeat since 1999 at the $1.02-million touranment Thursday, twice fighting back as the Australian served for victory.
