    Recent Bangkok Trip

I just had a two week period of working in Bangkok, and it was the first occasion for a long time that I had been there on my own and without my bf. On previous trips we had been keeping an eye out for guys for threesomes, but this time I had been given license to pick up guys on my own, just the simple admonition "don't be too big a slut". He knows me so well!

I find it weird that although in the area of Soi Pratuchai, I even ate at Dicks Cafe once( good reasonably priced and good people watching), I didn't go into any of the clubs in that street, for the first time ever while visiting Bangkok. I just didn't feel the incentive to spend another evening looking at men in underwear parading, while being overcharged for drinks, sitting uncomfortably and being pressured to take someone, just anyone, off, with another expensive drink, and an even more expensive off fee. I just visited Gay Romeo, where I was able to fix guys to come calling, at my convenience, and guys who recognised the commercial advantages of delivering a good service. Generally I used the escort section, which I had always previously assumed was too expensive and not good value, but if you take into account the absence of an off fee, that is not the case.

I was guided to those who had previous positive comments in their guestbook, and a disabled guestbook was a definite no. I met five guys, a couple of them twice, with no hassle, who delivered what they said and actually in some cases, where they said that they would in their profile, delivered a good massage, for prices ranging from 1,500 to 2,500(knocked down from 3,000). No one asked for cab money or extras or gave me a sob story. They all delivered what they said they would, and left when their job was done.

I did make one visit to Jupiter as it's professionally run and customers are never pressured, and the show is generally entertaining, and a drink was 290 Baht. However while as usual they had a good selection of guys, too many wore pancake, most were preening(albeit in a masculine way) and they seemed to be in a competition for the silliest haircut award, so I didn't stay for the show.

So sorry, no bar updates, but those from Soi Pratuchai have recently been discouraging, perhaps that was a disincentive for me too.

Anyway tried and recommended are these profiles in the escort area:

    welcome_me(very good massage)
boy_th_boy (perhaps not quite as good looking as his photoshopped portraits, but more than made up for it with enthusiasm, and also good massage)
    sexybigboy99(he is a big boy)
    dewkrub(very good massage)

I used to hold the same view but one day I decided to take a chance because a particular guy looked so cute and I had no problem with him. Encouraged, I did the same thing with another guy and again had no problem. I now have a more relaxed view of disabled guestbooks. It might mean that a guy has a psychopathic personality and contagious physical ailments - or it might mean that he just didn't hit it off with a vindictive farang. Thanks for the report - I share your view that the Bangkok bars do not make for a particularly enjoyable experience these days.

(my emphasis) What is "to wear pancake"?

Interesting Peter, I'd always made the negative assumptions about disabled guestbooks. Perhaps I might take the risk of them being previously reported kleptomaniacal psychopaths trading with someone else's photos. I can see now that this action might be caused by one vicious review too, possibly by a spurned boyfriend. I wonder if there isn't another way to get those comments reported and removed.

What I never understand is that even if the guy DOES get a negative comment in his guestbook he can simply click on it and delete it ! So I've never quite understood why they don't a) just do that and then b) just leave up the rest so like the Op I'm always a bit concerned when I see the disabled function used - although it can work two ways I guess as sometimes there's nothing worse than seeing some cute guy, thinking yeah I'll meet him and then clicking on his guest book only to see a string of aged, out of shape old farng ( myself included there by the way) who have all been shagging him senseless every other day for the last five years and all posting "what a hot fuck he was" and how they loved fisting him ( or whatever) as that for me sort of takes the edge of a bit as whilst of course we may KNOW that they are busy money boys who fuck for work we don't perhaps like to be reminded of that fact in full colour each time we log on - especially if the last three reports where made only a hour or two before he's due to arrive with you ! lol

You shouldn't be concerned. I've written glowing testimonials which are deleted within months. I'm not sure that all the guys are fully aware of the guest book, or are unable to understand the language or perhaps use the translation facility (if there is one).
I also know one guy (not a money boy) whose guest book contained extremely unkind and untrue comments from a disappointed falang who was looking for a short-time hook-up.
My friend had no idea the comments were there until I showed him how to delete them.

I no longer bother with the guest book; it is open to abuse from both parties. If you use GR, then you must remember "caveat emptor".

funny how we judge things differently...nirish is not particularly keen on a boy who is "busy" ...whilst I'm the complete opposite....prefer someone who knows what he's doing...last thing i want is to have to train him!!!

I do know what you mean that Latin and don't disagree entirely actually as I to can't be arsed "training" a new boy and sometimes just want to hook up and like the shampoo just fuck and go - or was that wash and go ? But still, nothing worse than meeting up with a guy and his ass is still puckering up from the last guy, especially perhaps when you noticed on GR that that last guy was 80 and looks like he hadn't washed in a month perhaps ! :-(
