My boy told me that he goes to navy...
I just talked to my boy and he told me that he goes to navy. He needs to report by February 1. The duration is two years and he will be paid 9000 baht per month. Will be stationed most probably in Sattahip. Does it make sense? I thought that they
do not take small boys (he is 160 cm though a strong boy). Do they check medical conditions (like HIV status etc). I told him that he should have said he is ladyboy... (he definitely is not).

All I can advise is that it didn't work in my day darling.
I ended up in a corset and wig for 6 years (2nd from the left)
And, as you can see, Sheila from Yorkskire (real name Fred) didn't manage to dodge the draft either.

I wonder about the 9000 Baht per month. It seems to much to me, it's above the average earnings. In additon, accommodation and food and clothes are free (at least it was like this when I was a concript in the territorial army in Germany ten years ago)

From what I have been hearing, the small boy / lady boy exception has not been as readily available. But I have no first hand knowledge. My BF took his chances with the lottery and was not selected.

A thai guy can buy his way out of conscription. I've heard from various sources ~ some on this Board ~ that the amount needed would be in the 30,000 - 50,000 baht range.
Want to go that route?

I paid 24,000 baht (several years ago) to keep my boy at the time out as he was terrified they would find out he was a gogo dancer. I have found since tho that the service does most of the boys some good as they are more mature and have a better outlook after service. An added benefit is the rock hard bodies they have.
