Just got off the phone with few of the guys from Pattaya and Udon Thani. They work around the gay tourist industry. Here what they had to say:
"Since you left last month I have had not a single customer take me". "The Bar has got too many new guys ....... and few customers so both the new and old hosts are disappointed".
"I came back to Udon Thani because there is nothing in Pattaya now".
"I am moving to BKK this time, because this high season it will be better there ...... more bars, clubs and pubs ...... so farang go there"
In the past few days the media and TV's in the West are talking about the floods in Thailand. This is putting off the travelers.
The European crsis and the sluggish US economy recovery has made most of the people hold tight to their spending. Christmas is coming and consumer spending is dropping.
Western currencies have lost steam against the Thai Bhat. So it is not an attractive thing.
Costs have gone up and the Bars are charging more and more and cheating on the customers.
Owners have gone and brought guys from upcountry when the market share is dwindling. Guys are not happy.
What's going to happen this high season and brilliant idea to rescue the Pattaya Gay Economic? :crybaby:
