Pattaya Boys VS Bangkok Boys

For my last two trips I stayed exclusively at Pattaya because I find Bangkok a bit too commercialized and westernized. Having a beer in shorts casually in Sunee reminds me of the good old days of Bangkok. However, though I always like medium-framed guys, I dont find guys in Sunee or even Boystown as intriguing as the ones in Bangkok. I even tried that only bar in Boystown featuring bigger boys and still they can't get me going. The closest thing I found are the guys at NAB, the ones dancing on stage (which I heard were from Bangkok directly). Is there really a specific bred of Thai boys who stay in Bangkok than the ones working in Pattaya? :sex:

As a matter of fact, I think that the boys taken from the bars in Bangkok expect a bigger tip than those of Pattaya. I had this feeling 20 years ago, it is the same today.
There is may be a logic in the sense that life is probably more expensive in Bangkok. An other explanation is that there are more business men in Bangkok who are use to give bigger tip, the boys get used to that.

Your observation agrees with mine - I have always given a difference of 500B "tip" across the board (ST/LT) between BKK and Pattaya.

Incidentally, Phuket boys seem to be a par with BKK boys, rather than with Pattaya boys.

Just my experience and no doubt others will differ.

Didn't anyone tell you? There's actually a "prostitute scanning" station just outside of Korat, which all guys must go through, before getting their bar employment ID, enabling them to work in the industry. The government officials at the scanning station take their measurements, give them a quick interview, and from there decide if they're better suited for Pattaya or Bangkok.

You're both right. It's never been aesthetically acceptable but I think Bangkok sexpats are a bit more self-aware than the Pattaya retirees who surround themselves with prostitutes because they actually live in a real city and have normal working Thais around them to interact with...
