No idea, I just know he was a sick fuck who thought impaling people was great fun. He'd get his soldiers to do it to hundreds of people at a time after taking a city.

Get his soldiers to setup hundreds of spears standing up in the ground, then proceed to throw people onto them. Great fun he thought.
