Renovation is well underway in the previous Double Shot bar in Jomtien Complex. The signage for East Lounge went up today with the new owners being from the East Suites accommodation in the next soi at Jomtien Complex.

Is that really connected to East Suits? I doubt John is about to run a new business since he shut down East Tapas long time before.

Why do you think/doubt John would not want to open a new bar business just because he shut down a restaurant years ago? Its years later and Jomtien Complex has taken over as the main gay area in the Pattaya area. But I can confirm that it is John from East Suites who is behind the new bar.

I see some on another gay forum were asking what type of bar it might be, the only thing I could be sure of is that it won't have loud music like the bars further down the soi, as John has been one of many who object to the thumping racket of certain bars and has appealed to the Complex management in the past to get some kind of control of the music volume, but to no avail.

It's certainly good to have a long standing business operator in the area moving into the bar business, if he runs it the way he runs his East Suite Residence it should be an excellent addition to to Complex.
