Too true. It remains the most bombed country per capita in the history of warfare. For 9 whole years before and during the Vietnam War the USA dropped the equivalent of a planeload of bombs on that tiny country every 8 minutes - more than all the bombs in all theatres of warfare in World War 2. Worse, many were cluster bombs and a good percentage did not explode. Every year these bombs continue to kill and maim Lao men, women and children. Instead of cleaning up all the ordinance it left behind, the USA has given the country a paltry $190 million - a fraction of what was and remains required. The country and its people need all the help they can get.
