He's "done the math" and determined that on travel & accommodation to/within Thailand he's spending more than 100,000 baht a year. He's spending the same on "entertainment" while he's here. He claims that for that money he can stay in his home country, eat decent quality food, see his regular friends and family, and be "entertained" at least once a week, every week, by one of the many Asian students who are in his country
Your friend is getting it cheap if he thinks he can get by on spending only 200,000 on two monthly trips to Thailand, all inclusive.

For example if he was traveling from the UK on the cheapest direct flight he would pay £950 = 36100Bt for the two fares. Probably more if he was coming from the USA. That would leave him 63900 for 60 nights accommodation...1065 per night. Does he live in a shoe box like yours?

His spending appears to be 1666 Bt per day all in (100,000/60) . Hardly extravagant.

Last of the big spenders is he?

In your haste to make your usual ad hominem style response you have inadvertently confirmed the point I was making. However among the multiple assumptions you made, your first mistake is to assume* that he pays the same price that you do for airfares. In fact he’s a retired flight attendant so gets “staff travel” rates. However, keep up your fantasy that everyone’s life is like yours, it makes for “interesting” reading

    * assume = makes an ass of you and me

You got rocks in your head Gere Fan? Its the 21st Century. I do a month at a time in Bangkok and I spend around $750 US ($800 tops) for the entire month for a condo. Theres so many of them on AirBNB. Furnished serviced once a week walking distance to Soi 4 and with WiFi. Friend stays near Sathorn 1 in a condo that does month to month rentals for 18000 baht plus utilities. Get with the program dude.

It's just a scam and used by scammers. I keep getting emails threatening to show videos of me watching porn sites unless I pay the sender with bitcoin.

Is this about the whole blind thing again? Tought shit, I'm actually blind.

At least CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind) think I'm blind, as I'm working with them at the moment.
