A man after my own heart. Great report and it proves what I've been saying forever.. Low season/high season makes no difference. There's bucket loads of fun to be had in Pattaya at any time. Next trip already booked.
Do guys here travel alone to Pattaya? I’d like to go but none of my friends are into it. Are there groups that go? Not in the tour company sense but more social groups.
I travelled alone from 1995 until 2004 when I fell in love. Not that I was alone in the evenings! I was happy being alone; I had the freedom to follow my instincts and desires.

I travel alone and go to bars alone most of the time. I have my peculiar ways of doing things (departure in Bangkok in the afternoon so I arrive in Pattaya in the evening, by bus, then songtheo). When going to bars, I have my own speed. When I go with friends, we stay together for half an hour in one bar, then separate.

Riding on the staff tickets I get I only get to travel on my own for as far as I remember. Finding new friends is part of the Pattaya fun I guess
As everyone else has said, a really useful report!
"The fruits of peace and tranquility... are the greatest goods... while those of its opposite, strife, are unbearable evils. Hence we ought to wish for peace, to seek it if we do not already have it, to conserve it once it is attained, and to repel with all our strength the strife which is opposed to it. To this end individual[s]... and in even greater degree groups and communities are obliged to help one another... from the bond or law of human society."
