My first time experiences in Pattaya

Was for the first time in Pattaya (Boyztown) and it is amazing. A truly gay paradise.
Nice, cute, friendly boys who seem really to like to have sex with you.
Of course I am no idiot, they do it for the money, I know. I know not many 20 year old boys truly lust for a 50 year old man. But yet they seem to enjoy it. Or they are very good actors. Even when payment has happened, they still hug you, kiss you. A European escort would never do that. After the sex he takes his money and goes away. Thai boys are different.

I also went to Sunee Plaza. There I had some worrying experience. Some who approached me appeared not of legal age. They didn't want to show id. However I saw men who clearly flirted with them and I think more happened between them. These men take huge risks. I don't understand this. I guess they assume they can bribe the police. They were very open. One Thai who sees it and doesn't trust it and such a man can be arrested. That was the only thing I didn't understand. That this happened so openly.

Jomtien beach was almost empty. Also I was in Gogo bars who only had me or one other customer. I know October isn't high season, but does this whole gay scene in Pattaya survive on the months of November/December alone? I can't believe they make a lot of profit in October.

I liked it so much that I will be back in December. Too bad I am not yet a pensioner. I would live there permenantly.

One question: in the high season months there are then many more tourists. So a lot of competition is there then, I suspect, between tourists to get the nicest boys. I guess you need to be at 8 pm at a Gogo bar or else the nicest boys are picked already by someone else and you are too late?

Correct. Unless they have already had an "Off", and are back for further business.

Are in these high season months fights among the tourists over some boys? Like "I saw him first, he is mine".
I mean if there are really so many more men in Nov/Dec and only a few boys more, than there must be a huge competition for the cutest ones
I had now to pay 1500 baht for a boy. In Nov/Dec prizes are I assume much higher? Because there is more demand?

AsDaRA: Thanks for sharing your perceptions. I am a bit bewildered by your comments regarding Sunee. I am a frequent visitor there and have many friends that work there. Recently, I have not seen anything remotely suspicious in the realm of needing to check IDs. Some of the guys may look young (Bless their lucky Thai genes), but I strongly doubt they are underage...especially if they are working at one of the bars.
Obviously it is prudent to check IDs if you are at all unsure, but this really hasn't been a big problem of late.

I don't perceive any higher costs during November/December, and there seems to be plenty of companionship choice if needed.

Yes I know Thai boys tend to look younger than they are, but I got suspicious when he didn't show ID. He said he didn't have it and next day he also didn't have it.
He proposed to rent a room in Sunee Plaza (there seems to be a place there were you can rent a room for 1 hour) and he said they don't ask for ID card (like hotels do). Now that were for me warning signs enough.
Also Sunee wasn't crowded at all in the evening, unlike Boyztown.

I'm bewildered too re the reference to an underage scene in Sunnee. To be perfectly frank I smell a rat here.
There is little or no underage problem in Sunnee now nor has there been for the past few years .
There are however some (slightly) underage boys working as official off boys in Boystown, believe it or not. Not that I see anything wrong with having consentual sex with a 17 year old young man but it can get you in trouble with the law.
Of course there are straight bars off Theppassit Rd and elsewhere where girls as young as 14 (and younger) are available for the straight rich and powerful but this is all hush-hush.

Well, I wouldn't take a chance with someone that did not have ID either, but that is a leap to then assume that means underage.

hell I was worried about this one guy and his ID said 25 yo. The hotel checked.
No ID - probably illegal immigrant rather than too young.
But there is a slight chance illegal immigrant could get you into trouble for harboring in your room.

Even in high season, you don't have to come early or fight over boys. It's a buyer's market throughout the year.

Boys from some bars in Boyztown (A-Bomb, Toy Boys, Funny Boys, BoyzBoyzBoyz as far as I know) now want 1500 for short time, everywhere else 1000. Prices do not vary with season.

I didn't see any illegal boys in Boyztown. It is also impossible to get them into a hotel. Because I noticed hotel clearly checks id.
That boy which I think was illegal in Sunnee can be legal I know. But why didn't he have ID? Is an ID card too expensive for some Thais? He said he was 19, but could easy pass for 15/16. So without ID I didn't have the guts to take him for a date.
