Massage saloon rules/customs ?

Hi all,
firstly, thank you for information - it was usefull to read this forum.
Secondly, the High Season really starts as I am yet another Russian here (joke :happy7: it's my first trip to Thailand).
Have been to NARCISSUS MASSAGE tonight - as advised took a cola (100bht), chatted with the manager (owener? papasan? what is correct word?), tryed to correct their Russian language menu ("tips" is translated completely wrong), saw staff, put an eye on #8 (papasan said "he do it both way") and went walking around to check other places.
Returned after a while and went upstairs (for 1.5 hour oil massage 550bht+ min tips 500bht [and I believe, the second bunch of their menu cards at the cashier desk does not say anything about 1,5 hour tipping, just too rows: "1h - min 500, 2h - min 1000"]). The massage was quite lite, but after it the boy refused to do it "in both way", he done it only "in his way".
Later the papasan trued to qoute me for 1550 (said "1000, if involved more than hands"), after short negotiation (as I had been told about both ways) we agreed on 1200.
So questions:
- is it a frequent situation, when a papasan said "both ways" and a boy refused? what to do?
- is he right "500 - for hands, 1000 if more than hands"?

Would be grateful for eplanations.

If, after the massage, the masseur does not want to perform in the way that I was led to believe he would, I would have declined a hand job and paid the minimum tip of 500 baht. I would have told the 'papsan' that his information was incorrect and chalked it up to experience. I would leave the establishment with a full sack and go look for someone that would perform in the way that I want. I doubt I'd have to walk far.

I've had the same experience a few times. It seems the papasan's always say every boy does it "both ways." I'm a top, and I only want a bottom. The way that I now engage with the manager is to say something like, " I want a bottom that LIKES to be a bottom. There is a difference in a boy who will bottom and a boy that likes to bottom." Usually this results in the manager narrowing the list of guys for me to choose from. Then I make sure the manager repeats, in Thai, that I only want a guy that enjoys being bottomed. It is then clear to the manager and the boy I choose what will be expected. It seems to work for me, and I think it is only fair to the boy, and I have not been disappointed since I started doing this. It is a little "forward" or "direct" but experience has taught me it is worth it to start out with a very clear understanding rather than being half through with a massage only to be disappointed. The one this gentleman went to isn't the best. For some unknown reason, the gay massage shops in Pattaya lack "class" and are dirty. Ok, there are a couple of them that would meet Bangkok standards. Maybe the viewers can tell which ones. :bis:

yes this is so. As long as he is 18 years or older of course there is no problem in any Condo.

I am a top myself, but I have always found it amusing, when someone writes about bottoms, in the sex for pay industry, that just likes and enjoys to be a bottom, no matter who wants to fuck his cute and tight ass.

Even if you pay for a devoted bottom, how do you know that he likes or enjoys being with you, me or another customer?
I don't mind that he plays the game in a very professional way, some of them are great artist, but lets us not fool ourselves, they are still in the sexindustry, and might not fancy the customer in any other way than the money he is being paid.

Gaymandenmark is absolutely correct. When you have sex with someone that truly is attracted to you (or loves you), the amount of energy and effort put into the sex and the persons responses is way more intense than a prostitute "acting" at sex. I for one, can't get over this fact and don't find sex for pay as being enjoyable. Staged sex in porno movies is the same way, so fake it turns me off. Maybe this explains the popularity of so called "Amateur" sex websites like cam4.com.
