Reporting on Vietnam
Hi Guys,
While planning the trip, I found very little online regarding sex venues. However, I was advised to publish myself on GayRomeo and GayDar as a visitor, that's what I did, and... WOW! I had no idea so many young Asians would find a 55 yo white foreigner attractive. I found myself having to turn down requests for meetings/sessions...
GR turned out to be more useful than GD. During a 17 days trip I had six meetings: 2 from GD, 4 from GR; 1 in Hanoi, 1 in Hue, 4 in Saigon.
[BTW, at the initial stage of searching I looked on GR for escorts and found none. Turned out that moneyboys publish themselves only in the users section. There are many ads, but they are repetitive. I found 2 in Hanoi and 4 in Saigon. None answered emails. Didn't get around to calling them.]
The guys I met were between 21 and 34. None were "out" in VN, and most prefer sex only with foreigners. All were both nice and handsome; I like also the Asian type - thin and smooth. With most I had long conversations and/or dinner. Sex was at least OK, with most - a real BFE.
One downside: per reputation, except for one Chinese-Malaysian all had small dicks; I mean really dwarfish. It was funny for me that my 14 cm was "huge" in their eyes. In fact everything physical I don't like about myself - too white, chest too hairy, only 14 cm, etc. - was great for them. Quite an experience.
So, whoever is traveling to VN - and I recommend doing so because it's a beautiful and interesting and friendly country - there's no need to look for sex-for-pay. Just reach out and be friendly.

well-greetings from me in Saigon/Pham Ngu Lao area then. Arrived last fr 18th. I find the food as such a big dive compared to the easy available and cheap anywhere Thai food. Now I haver to check that GR account myself.

What is the policy of hotels nowadays in Vietnam regarding joiners? When I lived in Vietnam it was nearly impossible to bring a friend to the hotel.....Can you provide the names of any "joiner friendly " hotels?

Re: Reporting on Vietnam
If by "joiners" you mean overnight, I don't know. If you mean just for a short visit, I had no problems.
At Hanoi's Maison D'Hanova they wanted to see an ID.
At Hue's Saigon Morin and at Saigon's Rex - nobody cared.

Re: Reporting on Vietnam
I've just returned from Vietnam where I asked my friends about the question to stay with a foreigner in a hotel overnight. I've read in another topic that this is not allowed for Vietnamese. Both friends confirmed that they can stay overnight with foreigners and this is no problem. They actually do this frequently. This trip I didn't have a boy with me in my hotel but for Saigon Sanouva Hotel is an excellent choice. The doorman is gay, he will not be irritated to see a gay couple.

above is a bit t├┤ optimistic- many hotels do NOt allow any visitors-├йsp. the cheapo ones. But th├кre ├нs always another HTl doing rooms by the hour- 2-3 ├Ъ$. Varies a lot between cities. Am n╞бw in Dalat.
