    The porn industry

Poster cdnmatt who lives in that heartland of civilization, Khon Kaen, proudly boasts of his work supporting the pornography industry (just another entertainment industry with leading edge technology), painting its participants as creative but kindly souls, happily married and kind to the wife, kiddies and their dog (just like Adolph Hitler, in fact, although he didn't marry Eva until it was all too late). The former British Home Secretary in charge of regulating porn in the UK has written an article where she investigates the porn industry there.

From chemical castration to digital castration: Research shows that
    watching porn makes impotent.

The Pornographically Induced Impotence Pandemic: "In December 1953, Hugh Hefner began marketing Playboy as "sexual liberation." But, instead of emancipation, Hefner sold Joe College Pornographically Induced Impotence.

Pornographically Induced Impotence is evident in an August 1974 Playboy cartoon. A beautiful girl and a handsome lad are in bed. Across her nude body the grinning boy has laid a naked "centerfold" image. The girl under the paper doll asks, plaintively, "Are you sure you still love me, Henry?"

This Playboy lad symbolic of millions of currently addicted Internet consumers no longer commands his own natural-born masculine power to physically love. "Henry" and his young vessel are robbed of a vitally important human right; the right to fully experience love-based intimacy.

Urged on by Kinseyan "sexperts" to bring "erotica" into their marriage beds, millions of hoodwinked couples are now puppets, dangled by pornographic strings. Pornographically Induced Impotence is a national pandemic, raking in untold billions for pornographers and their satellite businesses as well as from marital discord and the despair it produces.

From the Playboy mansion to Capitol Hill, from thousands of prostituted Las Vegas girls and women to newlywed bedrooms, from Fortune 500 offices to Ivy League dorms, men and boys have habituated to the rewards of their own hand from the hand of Hefner et al.

Public policy analyst Shaunti Feldhahn recently launced a series of church lectures after counselors noted, "many families in our church are struggling with pornography and with infidelity." Men are "visually wired," Feldhahn explained. Their images of women stretch "back to his teenage years and any one of the pictures is going to pop up at any time in his brain without warning."

In 1981, Hefner biographer Gay Talese wrote that "Hef's" influence reached out to "the central nervous system of Playboy readers nationwide." Men's collective "central nervous system" includes "images" popping up and stretching "back to teenage years." By 2005, some experts estimated that situational or total impotence was afflicting up to 50 percent of men.

Pornography (erototoxins) emasculate indiscriminately, castrating men of every race, religion, and "orientation," atheist and orthodox, rich and poor, conservative and radical, young and old, svelte and paunchy, handsome and unappealing, scientist and sky-cap, the clever and the obtuse, en masse.тАЭ

    Re: The porn industry

I skimmed the article and it's an interesting and relatively balanced piece. Fairly positive and open minded to a degree. I think porn has its benefits and its downsides. Like many things, it can be destructive if abused. Self-awareness and control as always...

    --

Cdnmatt: This OP has obviously made some pretty snide attacks on you relating to the topic. This is another baiting attempt. You're own man so do as you think best, but I would suggest don't respond and ignore the topic completely.

The OP, thonglor55 (formerly known as homintern) goes to elaborate lengths to attack perfectly nice people without provocation or justification, draw them into arguments and wear them down to satisfy some personal bitterness he has. He'll pick out anything he can about you - whether it's not being openly gay, being an entrepreneur, being Asian, being whatever - and spin it into something to attack you with.

In this case, I believe he's drawing you into an argument about the morality of porn and implying you're some sort of low-life scum because you participate in this industry, when he himself, a bald, fat old cunt, probably relies entirely on the good service of prostitutes to have any sex life at all... to this kind of dickhead, you've just got to say... whatever!

    --

I suspect "X-rated" is another handle registered by Homintern, this one specifically intended for this "campaign" he's probably going to embark on at cdnmatt, porn and whatever else is related.

You couldn't make it up if you tried! The article linked by the OP was written by former UK Home Secretary Jacqui Smith who was forced to resign after claiming expenses for porn movies rented out by her husband. She was also known, but sadly not prosecuted for claiming over a hundred thousand pounds, in expenses for living in a spare room at her sisters house calling it her main residence in London. Because of her misuse of parliamentary money she was voted out and lost her seat in the last General Election. So for the OP to try to slur someone he doesn't really know too much about by cross refering to an article written by such a women makes the whole thing even more of a joke.

The advantage of porn is that you can't get any STIs from it.

This photo fully explains Thonglor55's attitude. Someone took this photograph of him passing out candy in Lumphini Park.
