I have come across Nop, primarily when he was taken under the wing of Monty and some other guests at Monty's guest house. After several years Monty lost patience with Nop who had very poor adherence to the medicine regimen he was on and the fact that a side effect of the medicine seemed to be kleptomania. Monty and others paid for Nop's blood tests and some other medical treatment but I think it is his lack of adherence and discipline which causes Doctors and sponsors to give up on the quest to keep Nop alive.
I am surprised he has managed to survive thus far considering his very poor state of health a few years ago.
