The Thai Crisis and the Coup for the Rich

Two more interesting articles; one sided though they may inevitably be, as Thailand's populace and those analyzing the crisis become more polarized, they are well worth reading (despite a few technical faults in the latter).

Thailand and the Coup for the Rich (Asia Sentinel):

The Thai crisis - history repeats itself (International Herald Tibune):

    A Lot of Twat

Now I know what the word twattle means, and those refs are a lot of that.

About all I'll agree on is that Thailand has done it again - it has shot itself in the foot again.

Since the BBC started using the word "Republican" in its fancy dress-up of Thaksin the world press seems to be wanting to believe this is battle between things that it isn't. Certainly not examples of well researched responsible journalism.

    One thing is true

Thanks for the articles. The next move is up to the King, but I am surprised at how much of the world is watching and aware of what is really going on. All of this since Hadley published his book?

Well, that's a lot more than I did! I actually prefer the Urban Dictionary's definitions, particularly number one (1. The collective noun for a group of lesbians - "A twattle of lesbians", as "a flock of sheep"; 2. The act of succreting vaginal fluids, derivative of "twat" - You are making me twattle, baby! or I twattled on his face last night; 3.Vaginal succretion, derivative of "twat" - I got twattle all over the bedsheet ), although I would have expected a dictionary to be able to spell secretion properly, but I think the more mundane Collins definition (a rare word for twaddle) is probably the one you refer to!!

It is not only the world press who want you to believe that - it is a side pushed (rightly or wrongly I don't know as I have never seen anything to substantiate it) in the strongest possible way by the PAD.
