    Sky Eye Thailand

Have you heard of the term UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles)? It's something that is getting quite a bit of exposure over here lately as a platform for new video art and in marketing as an extension of that. Obviously, there's a lot that can be done with video when you are selling or renting properties to perspective clients online.
I came across some great local work from Thailand, from Sky Eye Thailand in Pattaya, DJI Phantom H3-2D in Bangkok and others on Travelbydrone.com.

Thank you for sharing. So far I only knew about pictures taken from such drones (Richard Barrow, www.pattayadays.com), and I didn't know that wat in Chachoengsao.

However I have to say once again, this kind of video is a waste of time, I could process this information in 10 seconds by looking at 5 pictures, instead of watching a 5 minute video.

Now, now! You can do much better.

The ones the US military uses to murder suspected terrorists in Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq - often with little evidence, most of the time with significant "collateral damage" and always without a fair trial in a court of justice on the whim of the first black POTUS, the champion of human rights and the Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Mr Barack Hussein Obama II.
Yes, grandpa, I know it used to be more fun 30 years ago...

Actually I'm fairly sure that the "drones" being flown in the clips above are anything REMOTELY (no pun intended) like the ones being flown and firing missiles etc in the places outlined above.

    Re: Sky Eye Thailand

A young fellow from Vancouver has been putting these video shots together, this one of my neighbourhood at English Bay in downtown Vancouver.

While these things aren't firing missals, the guidance technology systems are similar. A few guys from my office have been experimenting with a high end unit they built to help combat forest fires. Their cameras feed into a pair of remote glasses / goggles that allows them to guide the UAV from a distance and send it into the fire zone to photograph a fire where a helicopter or a plane couldn't go or see, due to smoke and tree cover.

Similarly so, the local police are using them to survey a scene before sending officers in.

The uses beyond armchair travel videos, art and sales promotion is endless and an interesting business opportunity for someone with $ 1000 to $ 2000 in cash and a little ability.
