Interesting. Google now has an instant translation page: English to Thai or vice versa.
I can't read enough Thai to say how accurate it is, but I tried a couple of simple things and my friend said they came out OK.

For those of you unable to read my telegraphic message above:
Google, Inc., now provide a website where it is possible to enter text directly or from websites in either English or Thai and, at the click of your mouse, have that text translated from English to Thai or from Thai to English.
People who are better able to read both English and Thai than I am have stated that the English to Thai service, though not flawless, works better than the Thai to English service.
I entered a couple of simples phrases in English and translated them into Thai. My friend, who happens to read Thai very well and English reasonably well, confirmed that the resulting Thai translation was acceptable. Neither he nor I offer ourselves as experts.
Since the service, whose website is linked above, is free, you should not be unduly worried about spending money for something you might not use very often.
If you want to impress your Thai friend or if you want to figure out what the hell he is writing about or if you want the details from a website in Thai offering to enlarge your penis to amazing dimensions ... this service might prove useful.
