Phuket: Flood warning issued
Flood warning issued
The Royal Thai Meteorological Department West Coast has issued a warning for people in risk areas in the Andaman provinces of Phuket, Phang Nga, Krabi and Ranong and Satun to beware flash floods caused by widespread heavy rain currently sweeping across Southern Thailand.
All ships in the Andaman Sea should be proceed with caution as large waves and strong winds are creating dangerous conditions, the warning said.

Nakhon Ratchasima has been the hardest hit of the northeastern provinces while Ayutthaya has been under water for weeks.
Floods are now affecting the southern region, putting many provinces under water, particularly Surat Thani and its resort island of Koh Samui.
